Director, Fair Chance Learning Academy

Welcome to Fair Chance Learning Academy — where every child is seen, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive.

My journey in early childhood care began at just 14 years old, when I became the trusted nanny for families in my community. From those early experiences, I discovered a deep passion for nurturing young minds and helping children grow into their fullest potential.

After graduating from Harding University High School in Charlotte, NC, I pursued my calling in early childhood education — working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children while earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Shaw University. I later continued my education at Johnson C. Smith University, where I earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work.

After completing my graduate studies, I was offered a position as a center director, which eventually transitioned into an accounts payable role. Having worn many hats in the early childhood field — from classroom teacher to administrative support — I felt encouraged and fully prepared to take on the role of Director here at Fair Chance Learning Academy.

Today, I bring my extensive experience and unwavering dedication to creating a nurturing environment where children can learn, explore, and grow into confident, compassionate individuals. My goal is to partner with families to build a safe, enriching, and supportive space that inspires a lifelong love of learning.

I believe every child deserves a fair chance — and that starts with a strong, loving foundation. I look forward to supporting your child’s journey every step of the way.
